I suppose I need to go the grocery store.
No yogurt, no eggs, no cereal.. so what the heck did I make for breakfast? Vitamix to the rescue! I threw together a quick breakfast smoothie:
- 1/2 c. vanilla soy milk
- 1/4 c. rolled oats
- 1 t. ground flax seed
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 1 c. frozen strawberries
Orientation for my new Clinical Coordinator position has started… so has my attempt at puting outfits together Taking pictures of yourself is harder than it looks! and I can not get the shoes in the picture for the life of me.. so you can barely see my heels. Ohh well- I’ll try it again next week. How’d I do so far at my ensembles? Granted these pictures are taken at 5pm, so don’t mind the frazzled hair
We met at the Beechwood Hotel this past week to meet everyone and go over the nitty gritty. Breakfast and Lunch was served.. and of course I had to bring a snack
I’m excited to work with such a great group of nurses they selected because we all have something different to bring to the table. I sat down with MD Access a few days this week as well to see what that entails- and that’s a lot. MD Access is a program of UMass designed to provide referring physicians with an easy, one-call access for inpatient transfers, and to expedited scheduling of patient appointments and testing. Which we will ultimately be operating, along with various other entities to reduce the variation in patient flow, to eventually improve patient satisfaction and safety.
Each week we’ll be doing something a little different to get our feet wet, wether it be rounding with the nursing supervisor at Memorial and Universiy, going to different hospitals to make a connection and promote the Care Connection Access Center, or getting the feel of what happens in Bed Control right now.
The next few weeks I’m morphing into a sponge to try and obtain as much information as possible!
Oh did I tell you what JB and I are doing tomorrow morning?
We thought the registration was closed but JB got us in.. GREEAAAAAT. We are doing the Wachusett Hill Climb. Yep- racing UP Wachusett Mountain! We’ll see how this goes… wish us luck! I have NEVER done a bike race, never mind up a mountain. Oh jeez- what am I getting myself into?
Have a great weekend!
