Holy Smokes. It’s Thanksgiving on Thursday? Where have I been? I guess I should have realized it was coming since Christmas songs have been on the radio hu? Jeez- I missed the buck on that one. Time to prepare! I’ve got to make dinner first..
Dinner Tonight was some Arctic Charr.. Here is a simple recipe-
For one fillet: 1/2 t. cornstarch mixed with 1 t water, add in 1 T maple syrup, 2 t. soy sauce, 1 t. fresh ginger, glaze fish..
bake at 450 for 15 minutes skin side down, at the end top with chopped walnuts.
So, it’s a good thing I have a little something planned for Turkey Day!
JB and I go over to the Butler household for some Turkey and fixins.. and this year I’m excited because I’m going to make a little something to bring. I happened to see it browsing through this magazine I picked up-
(there’s so many awesome idea’s in here! and the web site it just as cool- check it out)
So I’m planning on making this WHOLE GRAIN CORNBREAD
for a CARAMELIZED ONION & SAGE CORNBREAD STUFFING..(by Tyler Florence- Food Network). YUM.
I’m just now getting excited about Thanksgiving because it’s really just hitting me that it’s one day away! We don’t have any crazy traditions, or go out the night before (who wants to be hungover for turkey anyways?)..
What I do have planned is a run, then just an afternoon of relaxing and tons of eating. Thanksgiving night is one of the best things too I think. Not only because you get to go home, throw on your sweatpants and sweatshirt, plop on the couch and watch the start of the Christmas shows.. but thers’s another reason.
LEFTOVERS!!! I’m totally going to make a killer Pilgrim Sandwich with ALL the fixins, including my cornbread stuffing… if there’s any left? I’ve spotted this recipe from my Rachael Ray magazine and it’s making me drool right about now..
How bout you?
What’re your Thanksgiving Day traditions? or
