Happy St. Patty’s Day!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Today was gorgeous out so had to ride outside! after taking Sly for a walk, I rode 35 miles, ave 15.5 mph. The ride went well- shifting was good, surprisingly better than on the trainer. My only qualm with today was all the sand on the roads- slippery and dangerous! ..got caught one time in what seemed to be a sand dune! I wasn’t the only one taking advantage of the day either- passes a bunch of runners, dog walkers, and a few cyclist too. At one point in the ride I was flying down a hill by a farm and right as I turned my head I noticed a dog was chasing me.  I realize I’m on a bike, but it scared the crap out of me! He couldn’t catch up though :P Tons of frost heaves made the ride pretty bumpy while my nose was on a roller coaster too.. started the ride off with a smell of sweet blueberry pie, and then cow manure, then skunk, then gasoline.. too bad it didn’t end with the blueberry pie!

The sun felt so good- Spring is coming! ..Dinner tonight was Pesto Pasta with chicken nuggets and spinach.. had to have something green for St. Patty’s day! mmmmm- nothin’ like pasta after a workout.
Tomorrow workin’, then a 4 mi. run and core.. then the weekend! Tomorrow night we will definitely be grilling seeing as though it’s going to be 65! Maybe hittin’ up R.E.I. Sat or Sun for some new bike shorts and some running stuff. Also got a party to go to Sat. night for a Co-worker heading over to Afghanistan :(

green tip. Don’t Rinse: Skip rinsing your plates before putting them into the dishwasher. In average you will save 15 gallons of water per load. Plus, you will save time.
